On December 7, 1988, there was an earthquake in Armenia that covered almost half of the republic’s territory. Cities of Spitak, Leninakan, Kirovakan, Stepanavan and over 300 others were destroyed. 25 thousand people died, 19 thousand people disabled, more than half a million were left homeless.
Against the natural disaster, the story of two characters - 45-year-old Konstantin Berezhnoy and 20-year-old Robert Melkonyan - unfolds. It is not the first time fate throws them together– Robert’s parents died in a car accident because of Berezhnoy’s fault many years ago. Konstantin spent several years in prison and young Robert was sheltered by his relatives. By a strange coincidence, Berezhnoy returns to his family on the day of the horrific earthquake: his wife, daughter, son... and Robert, who never forgave him for the death of his parents, are waiting for him. Ironically, the characters are in the same rescue team, but it takes time for them to recognize each other.
