As part of an Australian Government funded research project, UNSW's RCS is collaborating with India's Frontier Lifeline Hospital to explore ways to develop future cardiovascular surgical technologies for rural, poor and marginalised communities in both India and Australia.
One technology is a ground-breaking heart device that helps reduce hypertension, which was tested on humans for the first time in India in March 2015.
This video shows how the Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Research Center has terrific potential to lead the way in cutting-edge medical research and development.
