The de Havilland DH 82 Tiger Moth is a 1930s biplane designed by Geoffrey de Havilland and was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and others as a primary trainer.
The pilot is Nino Catto.
The English Patient is a 1992 novel by Michael Ondaatje. In 1996, it was made into a film of the same title by Anthony Minghella.
The de Havilland DH-82 Tiger Moth I-RIAR (now D-ESYS) was used for the filming of the movie. Photos were taken at Nervesa della Battaglia (TV) at Campo Jonathan headquarters of the historic aircraft collection of Giancarlo Zanardo. The video was taken at the Fly Party 2012 thw annual meeting of the Historical Aicraft Group of Italy HAG at Montagnana Airfield.
