The de Havilland DH 82 Tiger Moth is a 1930s biplane designed by Geoffrey de Havilland and was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and others as a primary trainer. The pilot is Nino Catto. The English Patient is a 1992 novel by Michael Ondaatje. In 1996, it was made into a film of the same title by Anthony Minghella. The de Havilland DH-82 Tiger Moth I-RIAR (now D-ESYS) was used for the filming of the movie. Photos were taken at Nervesa della Battaglia (TV) at Campo Jonathan headquarters of the historic aircraft collection of Giancarlo Zanardo.
