Actually, it is the ultimate distortion until the next best thing, because I have a pretty long list of things to try. But this sounds awesome right now.
It is a JFET based preamp that includes a cabsim, also JFET based.
It started after reading this thread (http://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtop...) from freestompboxes.org. At that time I had already gathered lots of information about Dr. Boogie type circuits and about the works of Viktor Kempf, one of the brains behind AMT Electronics (http://amtelectronics.com/).
