Benedetto Zacchiroli
President of European Cities against Racism (ECCAR)

Born in Bologna, graduated in Theology in Rome. Elected City Councillor since 2011, then elected as Metropolitan Councillor, called by the mayor to serve as the Deputy Mayor. Since spring 2015 president of ECCAR and since 2016 appointed by the president of the Council, Matteo Renzi, to be his Chief of Cabinet until the end of his period. Currently working as an advisor for the General Secretary of the Presidency of the Council for the relations between the state and religious confessions.
