I could have sworn I ran into Elder Maxson when he was a child. Sure enough, he currently resides in Citadel B Ring. At the age of 16, Maxson will rise to an elder and lead the Brotherhood of Steel chapter in the Commonwealth.

His dialogue here pretty much shows what Maxson is today in the Commonwealth. A man who follows strictly BoS code and eventually sees Lyons as "weak".
