I originally created this video to describe to ShackTac how the grenade system I was working on would behave in our future sessions. Since August of 2015, we've been using this system in our sessions, which you've likely seen in various ShackTac videos. After having had success with it, I just recently cleaned up the code (har har, or so I'd like to think) and shared it with the ACE3 team, who are now doing the heavy lifting of integrating it into ACE3 for a future release.

Many thanks to the ACE3 team for taking on the task of integration, to ShackTac for helping to test it, to Zapat for letting me use and modify the throwing arc visualization he created, and to everyone who's expressed interest in seeing this released outside of ShackTac.

Also note that the controls described here are slightly different from what I ended up using (it's three mousewheel down scrolls to drop a cooked item) and there's some added functionality like being able to use these from FFV slots. How ACE3 ends up controlling is to be determined by their team, so read their documentation before trying to use their integration of this.

So anyhow, TLDR: This method will soon be available in ACE3!
