A service of worship in Duke University Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Samuel Lloyd III delivers a sermon entitled "Radiance."

Opening excerpt from the sermon: (28:34)

"I want to begin by saying what joy it is to be here at Duke Chapel and many dear friends and people I admire enormously associated with Duke University and this chapel and it's a great privilege to be here with you all. I've of course admired Duke for a long time and in spite of its inordinate worship of a group called "Blue Devils" of all things and a temple called something like "Krzyzewskiville" of all things, Duke is an extraordinary place on the landscape of American religion and of Christianity. It is a real honor to be with you."

Closing excerpt from the sermon: (48:08)

"If only everybody could realize this. There is no way of telling people that they are all walking around shinning like the sun. That's the truth of this day. That everyone of us is walking around shinning like the sun whether we can see it or not or acknowledge it or not and everyone we will see on the streets in our world next week will be shinning as well and Christ our transfigured Lord is here to lead us down the mountain into this world charged with God's radiant light."
