When Pete Horton was a teenager in Nocona, Texas, he worked manual labor in the great Montague County Oil Field, which was discovered in 1922.

Today, he owns most of the field and more. And that's enabled him to almost instantly build an amazing collection of Corvettes and other classic cars.

His growing collection and restored historic buildings have brought new attention to this small Texas community, 9 miles south of the Red River.

Corvette Nation's Michael Brown profiles Horton's history & collection.
