Typing video before and after adding sound damping foam inside the case of a WhiteFox keyboard to demonstrate the effect the foam has on the keyboard's sound. It is placed in the gap between the plate/PCB and the rest of the metal case.
The foam helps to dampen the noise from the key switches, reducing resonance within the case. For lack of a better description, it makes the key switches have less of a "hollow" sound when pressing them, and quiets down typing a bit.
This foam was sloppily cut to fit from a sheet sold on GON's website, but any other similar foam would have this effect.
