iOS 8 Broke my iPad 2

iOS 8 Broke my iPad 2, ever since the update on the 17th Sept 2014, my iPad 2 has continually crashed, froze, had problems with apps or as is the case most times crashed and then gone into a reboot loop.

I have re-installed iOS 8 numerous times as a completely fresh install, i.e. a Factory Default restore, so the ipad shows up as a new device, but still nothing works.

Posted on the Apple Forums and appears I'm not the only one having these problems, spoken to Apple Support via the web and on the phone, even been to a Genius Bar appointment eventually, had to wait 9 days for a slot to be fitted in and even they couldn't get it work, they just said it's a hardware fault and this was without running any diagnostics on it or even checking the crash logs.

Now in the process of speaking to an Executive Relations Representative and a Senior Technical Specialist at Apple to resolve the issue . . . here's hoping
