http://rtvm.gov.ph Terminal II, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 15 November 2010 President Benigno S. Aquino III called for the country's support and encouragement, rather than undue cynicisms during his arrival statement at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) II after his participation in the recently concluded 18th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM) held in Yokohama, Japan. In his message, the President was pleased to report new investments worth US$ 2.85 billion to enter the country on top of the US$ 2.6 billion expansion growth of active investors. The President also discussed projects in the province of Isabela that will not only secure jobs for local farmers, but will help transform idle farmlands into sugarcane-based ethanol plant as part of government's bio-fuel program to conserve the country's fossil fuel reserves. Other projects will focus on improving the country's energy plants as it will be the key in transforming the nation as a major producer in the region.
