Elias Wendland, a 7-year-old patient with Krabbé disease, and his mom, Emma, inspired local children's musician Zak Morgan to write this song.

Emma's explanation of Cincinnati Children's "feeling like home" led to Zak teaming up with the medical center's music therapists to get patients and Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts children involved in singing about it.

"Safe at Home" is dedicated to families who spend a lot of time in the hospital and for whom Cincinnati Children's feels like a second home.

Whether you're home for the holidays or in the hospital like many of our patients, we wish you the peace and love of families that come in many forms.
