56 years after the original JOHNNY AT THE FAIR was shot by the National Film Board at the Canadian National Exhibition in 1947, director Bob Pomerantz made a sequel In 2003 called CHARLIE AT THE FAIR. Charles Pachter, then 60, and his mother Sara, then 88, reminisced about the making of the 1947 film, and Charles travelled to Italy to find Jack Olsen, retired director of the 1947 NFB film.
