A past & present visual tour of the Kinzua Bridge located in McKean County in Northwestern Pennsylvania near Mt. Jewett. Background music is "Smooth" by Candy Dulfer.
In 2003 while under restoration, the bridge was hit by a tornado causing the collapse of part of the structure. Although this bridge is a Pennsylvania State Park, the state of Pennsylvania has decided to not rebuild it and will instead feature a walkway on the valley floor for visitors to view the fallen bridge in its present condition.
An excellent 30 minute video called "Tracks Across the Sky" which is produced by Penn State showing the complete life span of the Kinzua Bridge can be viewed here on Youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qinUza...
If youre in the Northwestern part of Pennsylvania in the fall, please take the time to visit this park when the leaves are changing for a very pleasant view of the valley.
