The new 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center in New York. 30-feet golden waterfalls flow into the abyss - an elegantly beautiful but sad place.

This video was filmed as part of a video project for New York HD "Afterglow." Check out the completed video here:

The design for the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center is known as "Reflecting Absence," selected from over 5,000 entries. There are two pools, each nearly an acre in size set within the footprints of the Twin Towers. Thirty-foot waterfalls cascade from the sides. The surrounding plaza will be planted with over 400 swamp white oak trees. The 2,983 killed in the 9/11 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels surrounding the pools.

I'd recommend visiting this one at night. Visitor passes (free) are required, so reserve online (http://www.911memorial.org/).
