硫黄島沈船 Iwo Jima Wrecked Ships (Chinsen)

硫黄島沈船 Several reinforced concrete structure ships were brought by the U.S. Forces for the purpose of providing a breakwater for constructing a port facility on the west coast of this island. However, due to the active volcanic upheaval on the coastline, provisions for breakwater and construction of the port facility was not accomplished. The wrecked ships appearing on the coastline were originally under deep water.
