Van Jones, Obama's new "Green Jobs" Czar and an admitted "Communist" preaches to the choir at a February 2009 Berkeley Energy Resources Cooperative (BERC) meeting.

"our movement...to go from re-inventing politics, to re-inventing the economy"

"The slogan of 'Green Jobs' is the banner under which all the pro-democracy forces can gather for the next big assault"

"we can't hear each other because of 'Supremacist' ideas about who's smart and who's dumb..."

"nobody belongs here but the Native American peoples"

"the immigrant communities...clearly you have more wisdom where you are than we have here where we've paved over almost everything"

"It's our turn now...people who thought we could bomb and torture our way to peace have had their turn...it's our turn now"

"they've had their turn and they've completely discredited an entire economic model"

Insults White conservatives: "you're willing to go on that BART train and go out to Concord...It 'aint like Berkeley. you 'aint been there. Very few syllables in thew words they use. Don't want 'em to be confused"

About Republicans: "the answer to that is...they're a**holes...and Barack Obama is not an a**hole...I will say this: I can be an a**hole, and some of us who are not Barack Hussein Obama..are gonna have to get uppity"

"if you look like me you're gonna get beat up" (by a police officer for littering a piece of gum)

"some of us need to figure out which 2 or 3 Senators need to have terrible days, until they 'act right'"

"How's that Capitalism workin' for you?"

The group Jones founded, Color of Change is at this time attempting to get advertisers to boycott Glenn Beck's TV show. That same group is itself a divisive organization which exploits racial conflict for its own gain. In 2005, Kanye West said on national TV that President Bush "gave troops permission to shoot us (black people)" in New Orleans after Katrina. Color of Change 2 days later put a statement out agreeing with West, and selling t-shirts reading "Kanye was right", which they still sell today. This is not the NAACP. If David Duke or Louis Farrakhan asked companies to boycott someone, they would not even respond. Well Color of Change is no different.
