In honor of 100 years of Girl Scouts selling cookies in 2017, we reached a goal of donating 100,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to local nonprofit partners through the Gift of Caring program.
The Gift of Caring program is a council-wide community service project that gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to learn philanthropy and community service.
On April 18, 2017 at Bob Hope USO at LAX, Girl Scouts gave out a portion of those cookies to servicemembers as a way to surprise and thank them for their service.
Every Girl Scout Cookie season, customers can donate money to Gift of Caring so that Girl Scouts can continue to give cookies to local charities. Inquire with any Girl Scout selling cookies or visit girlscoutsla.org.
