Video oral history of Mexican anthropologist Fernando Camara conducted by anthropologist H. Russell Bernard in Spanish. Dr. Camara recalls his childhood in the Yucatan, his subsequent years in Mexico City as a student of anthropology under Daniel Rubin de la Borbolla and Alfonso Cazo, and his studies at the University of Chicago. Dr. Camara also speaks at some length about the fieldwork he conducted both in Mexico and in other areas of Latin America and comments on the development of Mexican anthropology and its future. Video is from the "History of Anthropology" series produced by the University of Florida's Department of Anthropology in conjunction with the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.
