Op. 124. A concise cycle of songs on brief poems of Emily Dickinson; music composed by Christopher Wicks. Performed at Pforzheimer House at Harvard University in December 2006, by the Juventas Ensemble with soprano Emily Culler. Images of the ocean in New England, photographic and painted. These poems speak metaphorically and obliquely about issues of death and eternity, while each addressing more directly images of the ocean and maritime life.
