Understanding Rhinoplasty Las Vegas: Its Numerous Benefits And How It's Performed:

The nose is one of the prominent features of our faces, meaning that it can have a big impact on both our self-image & appearance. If you're one of those unhappy with their nose, then you should consider Rhinoplasty Las Vegas. Sometimes referred to as nose reshaping or nose job, this is a surgical procedure that’s mainly performed to improve the proportion of the nose and overall facial harmony. However, it can also correct breathing problems resulting from structural defects in one’s nose. Here’s a look at the various benefits of rhinoplasty and how it’s performed.

What does Rhinoplasty Las Vegas do?

The relatively common procedure is usually performed to change/correct various conditions including but not limited to the following;

· Enlarged , drooping or upturned nasal tip,

· The size, shape or angle of the nose ,bringing it into proportion with one’s face,

· Large or upturned nostrils,

· Structural defects with the nose which could cause problems like chronic congestion & breathing difficulties,

· Common problems associated with aging such as droopy nose tip and uneven cartilage, which often causes humps & bumps,

· Sagging by structurally supporting the bridge,

· Nose profile with humps/depressions on the nose bridge,

· Position of one’s nostrils,

· Nasal asymmetry due to previous injury.

How is the procedure performed?

Before the procedure

It’s very important that your plastic surgeon determines the exact area (s) of your nose that will be worked on prior to the surgery. To correctly do this, he or she will evaluate your facial appearance and structure, the desired result and medical history among others.

During the procedure

Rhinoplasty Las Vegas can be done using either general anesthesia or local anesthesia. Although often performed as an outpatient procedure, it may sometimes require a patient to stay overnight in the surgery center or hospital. Surgeons who do rhinoplasty typically have training in plastic surgery or otolaryngology (specializing in the nose, ear and throat surgery), or even both.

During the procedure, your surgeon will make multiple incisions in order to access the supporting structures of the nose ─ the bones and cartilage. It’s a common practice for the incisions to be made inside the patient’s nose, with the aim being to ensure they’re invisible following surgery. The surgeon may remove some bone & cartilage, or add some tissue from another part of your body based on the desired results.

Once the bone and cartilage is rearranged & reshaped, the surrounding skin and tissue is carefully redraped over the nose structure. Your surgeon will then place a splint outside your nose so as to provide support as the nose heals. Expect the splint & bandaging to be removed after a week or so.

After the procedure

The area around your nose will be bruised & swollen for a few days, but you can reduce the swelling and pain by using cold compresses. Your doctor could also recommend pain medicine. You should try to keep your head at an elevated angle and still for a couple of few days following surgery, and avoid any strenuous activities.

Thinking of undergoing the procedure? Rhinoplasty Las Vegas will correct a whole lot of issues, and ultimately bring that confidence back. Request for a free consult now to discuss if you’re a right candidate for the surgery.
