The "i Learn at home" Internet Learning Support Programme was launched on July 14. This is a five-year programme to assist needy students to undertake web-based learning at home by helping low-income families acquire affordable computer equipment and Internet access services, and to provide them with user and social support.
The Government has engaged eInclusion Foundation Limited and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service to implement the programme under the brand names of "Net-Com rock n' roll" and "WebOrganic" in the Eastern and Western parts of Hong Kong respectively. Eligible students and families can now register the programme for the services and offers provided by the two implementers.
