Walking down an ancient highway
Kicking a tomato can down the road, doing it my way
My feet are sore...they're a-bleeding
Still there's not a whole lot that I'm needing
Up ahead there's an old street light
Long time ago its light went dark
Invisible, mixed in with the night
There's nothing here left to shine on
There's nothing here left to shine on
Nothing here left to shine on
How come there's nothing left?
There's nothing left

I'm still walking down the ancient highway
My eyes are seeing what used to be
I gotta stop & ask a question
Were these people ever really free?
That old streetlight hasn't shone in a thousand years
Once upon time it fired up the night
Spirits soared on a busy boulevard
Screamed, and it hollered - give me rest!
There's nothing here left to shine on
Nothing here left to shine on
How come there's nothing left?
How come there's nothing left?

The tune started out as an instrumental called "Evolve" (http://www.reverbnation.com/vitotuxed...), but Ric was inspired to do a vocal. It's evocative of a kind of post-apocalyptic world, destroyed by human folly. Think of it more as a warning than a prediction. It doesn't have to turn out that way. It depends on whether enough people can learn to take responsibility for their own choices. Forget about the political clowns and clownettes. They can't fix anything. They're part of the problem, not part of the solution. You can't "elect" others to be responsible for you.

As noted in the video credits, we have credited the owners of all Images wherever possible. We will gladly provide accreditation for any image we have used by authors not listed above. If you don't want us to use your image and you can prove it's yours, we will immediately remove it without argument. We're not thieves. We would have been delighted to pay credit to the authors of every image if we had been able to identify who they are.

That's the problem with finding images on the web...the people who post them don't always provide proper attribution or accreditation. We spent many hours trying to track down the image owners, in many cases without success. In other cases, we made inquiries requesting permission to use certain images, but received no reply.

Anyhow, as Raj Fahneen might say, "Please to be enjoying it now, the video."
