To many, this is the location where some of the scenes from the Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom movie were filmed. But Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world, and a symbol of Cambodia. It was originally built as a Hindu temple to Vishna, in the early 12th Century.

It eventually became a Buddhist temple in the late 12th Century, and has been in continuous use since its inception.

I stopped here on my way to join the Aqua Mekong river boat cruise, which was originating from Siem Reap, where this temple is located. #AQUAMEKONG #AQUAEXPEDITIONSCRUISES
