Dr. Breeding talks about upcoming FDA hearings to attempt to reclassify ECT machines as safe devices. Electroconvulsive therapy has been controversial for years. It is linked to side effects like brain damage and permanent memory loss.
Dr. Breeding would like people to "do the right thing and at the very least require a complete pre-marketing approval submission on these machines, and not let public relations substitute for facts.
