by Alyssa Spirato An 18-year-old boy is found stabbed to death outside a South Chattanooga home. Now, police are trying to find who is responsible. The news has nearby neighbors on high alert.Carolyn Chapman says she stood outside her home on the 2600 block of East 44th Street, watching as rescue workers try to revive 18-year-old Artemis Balthazar."The guy was laying on the other side of the car, and the paramedics were messing with him, trying to get him to breathe," says Chapman.Police responded to 2604 East 44th street around 12:30 Saturday night. When they got there, they say Balthazar was lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds. It was a sight Chapman still can't wrap her thoughts around."We have never had no problems out of there. They're nice people over there," says Chapman.Chapman says the family was quiet,  and didn't speak much. She also says Balthazar always came and went, and never caused any trouble in the neighborhood. She also wants to know who would want to kill a 18-year-old man."I think that's very awful for someone to stab him, you know, and then just leave him laying there," says Chapman. It's violence that Chapman's daughter, Andrea Wilson says needs to stop."I shed some tears because you know, I hate to see anybody get killed. Especially at times when it ain't worth it. These gang members and all this stuff, what's this gang stuff? It's ridiculous," says Wilson.(Photo: Google image of address where murder reported)
