Golden Fall Colors, in Colorado. https://paintingdenver.net/ 303-591-4978 Gold Fall Colors, Autumn 2011, near Gunnison CO. Monarch Pass and Upper Taylor River. Aspen leaves turning gold in groves 09/23/11 which was the best time above 10,000 feet to see the Aspens turning the brightest gold. Some leaves falling in the crisp early morning temperatures near freezing. Warming back up, if leaves stay hanging on, they get the most vivid bright yellow and gold, until they fall. Pictures here do not do these trees justice, when the Sun is shinning directly on them, Aspens appear to be on fire, blazing with the brightest golden colors. Fall is my favorite season, when everything is turning Gold, showing signs of the coming harsh Winter. Aspens are the brightest Yellow Gold for a very short time, just before leaves are to fall within days of being the very brightest Gold. When the wind blows, the Aspen leaves turn, causing a reflection of Gold, what has been referred to as "Quaking Aspens". Starting the process over once again in mid-March, Aspens will again leaf out with Deep Green leaves, until that magic week in late Sept. In Colorado, Aspens tend to flourish at altitudes higher than 8000 feet, making for a perfect backdrop setting for any Fall portrait. Eco Paint, Inc. United States
