On December 8, 2015, the Canadian Cancer Society brought some holiday cheer to Lynn Matthews and her family at their home in Stouffville, Ontario, north of Toronto. Lynn, 43, has triple negative breast cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She and her family (4-year-old twins, Logan and Caitlyn, and her husband, Dean) were delighted by the festive carolling right outside their door.

The group of singers was made up of Society employees, neighbours, community members and choirs from Markham District High School and Stouffville District Secondary School. When the singing was over, everyone mingled, enjoying hot chocolate and treats, generously provided by friends and a local Tim Hortons.

The Canadian Cancer Society wishes everyone a very happy holiday and a healthy, happy new year. We’re here for you during the holidays and throughout the year. Learn about our support and services at cancer.ca/support or call 1-888-939-3333 to speak to a cancer information specialist.

Happy Holidays everyone!
