Rachel from Rain Forest Tours, a guided hiking company, took me out to Parkinson Beach and ultimately Payzant Creek, about a 3km walk from the parking lot on the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail.

It's a fairly easy and quick walk to Parkinson Beach, but after that, to get to Payzant Creek, it gets a little more hilly and muddy through the dense rain forest, but it's well worth the hike.

We saw many species of mushrooms along the way, including Chantrells and eat some Salal berries.

This would be a great place to storm watch,
