Students from Los Pollos Locos, USC College of Engineering and Computing and Richland One's FIRST Robotics Competition team, designed and built a Rube Goldberg machine in one 10-hour day (filled with plenty of prototypes and retakes to force the team to refine the design and the processes that made it) to microwave a dinner. This is a warm-up for their regular season, which involves building a 120-pound robot for a game to be announced this January.
