Ob 90. obletnici konca prve svetovne vojne je Oddelek za multimedije Ministrstva za obrambo v Poljčah, v sodelovanju z Muzejem novejše zgodovine Slovenije in Vojaškim muzejem Slovenske vojske pripravil dokumentarni film z naslovom Slovenci v vojni 1914-1918. Montaža Tomo Burazin, scenarij Marko Štepec in režija Božo Grlj. Film je bil posnet na različnih lokacijah in v razstavnih prostorih Muzeja novejše zgodovine Slovenije in Vojaškega muzeja v Pivki. V njem nastopajo člani predstavitvene skupine 17. pehotnega polka pod vodstvom Marka Negrieskega.
Dokumentarni film je bil oktobra 2011 tudi nagrajen z bronastim mečem na Mednarodnem festivalu vojaškega filma v Varšavi in leto pred tem še na 21. festivalu vojaškega dokumentarnega filma Vojska in ljudje v Rimu (http://www.mo.gov.si/nc/si/medijsko_s...).


Commemorating the end of WWI, the Multimedia Department of the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the National Museum of Contemporary History and the Military Museum of the Slovenian Armed Forces released the documentary World War I and the Slovenians. Editor Tomo Burazin, Screenwriter Marko Štepec and director Božo Grlj. The film was shot in various locations and in the exhibition rooms of the National Museum of Contemporary History and the Military Museum of the Slovenian Armed Forces in Pivka.
Documentary film was also awarded October 2011 with the Bronze sword at the International Military Film Festival in Warsaw and the year before that even at 21st Military Documentary Film Festival: The army and people in Rome.
