Harmonicomedy night at Patrick Henry College Spring 2012. Some of my senior friends and I sang a parody from Les Miserable. Lyrics rewritten by Gregory Escobar. Singers include Josh Chamberlain, Marjorie Sommerville, Amy Kucks, Abigail Wolking, Erik Landstrom, and Gregory Escobar
Lyrics: (many of them overlap so these are the basic ones)
One day more, Another day, another destiny, A few more hours and I'll be finally free. Tomorrow I can celebrate, I'll be all set to graduate. One day more.
The summer's just around the bend, To some it's just a change of weather. But to us it means an end, It means that we won't be together.
One more day I'm on my own. For tomorrow we must part. One more day without my parents. Will I see your face at all? It's been so long since I've been home. I cannot bear to wait till Fall. But I've survived my freshmen year.
One more day before the storm! Thirty pages still remain. I have my final test tomorrow My paper's due this afternoon I've studied all week in my dorm I should probably start it soon. I hope that I will be prepared. The time is now. The day is here.
One more day 'til we are finished We all want to finish strong. I'll deactivate my Facebook, So it will not steer me wrong!
Finals week is here, My exams are tough, Students live in fear, they know it will be rough, Just before they're freed, I want to make them sweat If they skip the reading they deserve what they get.
Group 1: One day left to the semester Group 2: No more classes to attend. 1: Every student can rejoice. 2: Every student should rejoice. 1: No assignments that can pester. 2: No assignments due at all. All: Do you hear the people sing?
I cannot bear To part with you! ...................
Tomorrow we'll discover what our dear professors have in store. One more dawn. One more day. One day more!
