Ed Sullivan appears as the celebrity guest on an episode of "I've Got a Secret" from February 2, 1955, with host Garry Moore and panelists Bill Cullen, Jayne Meadows, Henry Morgan, and Faye Emerson.
Part 2 of 2. The first part of this segment features William Lahner of Philadelphia who claims in his secret that his great-grandfather invented the hot dog/frankfurter in Frankfurt in 1805. (Claims of hot dog invention are difficult to assess, but it's a fun segment regardless.)
Then Ed Sullivan is introduced with the secret that he caddied at Garry Moore's golf club before Garry was born. Garry is skeptical but it's certainly plausible since they were 13 years apart in age.
To make the segment more unusual the panelists have to make Ed laugh before they can ask a question. It turns out not to be very hard to make him laugh but the different techniques are entertaining.
