LANGFORD - We are nearing the end of the school year, and for students in the public school system it has been anything but normal.

BC Teachers have been striking since day one and the Government and some parents, say students are suffering.

But for the first time this year, parents are starting to see in writing, how their children are doing.

Today BC School Sports announced the mountain biking championships have been cancelled. Track and Field is still up in the air.

High school students in the Saanich district took their minimal report cards home this week. If you have a child in middle or Elementary school in Saanich, the Superintendent says those report cards will go out Monday. Report cards in the Victoria district will also go home at the beginning of next week.

And the Sooke School Board says it is anticipating the teachers dispute will be over by September.

Planning has already started for sports teams, and meetings about classes will begin shortly.
