Students in E4: Experimental Design and Manufacturing designed prototypes of bridges that could be used to cross a chasm 12 feet wide and 200 hundred feet deep, carrying a "treasure" the size and weight of 2 cinder blocks. The goal was to use the given materials, design and build a prototype, and test it, getting team members and the treasure safely across the chasm.
