How to make cheap or free paper plant seed pots. My short video for a gardening friend on how to make inexpensive paper pots for flower and vegetable seed and seedlings from newspaper.I was prompted to post on YouTube with a view It might help a lot of other people. By using different sized formers you can make a large variety of paper seed pots. Once the seeds have germinated in the pots and growing they can then be planted on outside without any disturbance to the young roots of the seedlings with the paper maintaining moisture and degrading in the earth over time.
You can also make very degradable seed pots from the cardboard centres of toilet rolls. In some ways ideal for pre planting seeds such as runner bean as the root from the seed tends to travel down the tube with space to spare. Once they are a good size it's simple a case of planting the whole tube, with seed into your prepared location.
