Coach Raymond Frey joined the Academy family in the fall of 1957. At that time he was appointed the head track and cross-country coach. In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Frey was also hired as the art and mechanical drawing instructor. A star athlete himself at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Coach Frey brought with him experience, talent, and a love for sports.
Over his 30 years of service to the Academy, his duties and responsibilities changed slightly, the one thing that remained constant was his dedication to the track and field program.
Unwavering loyalty to Hilltopper track and field was evident throughout Coach Frey's career. In that time, his successes included 16 state championships, and numerous individual state champions and record holders.
