After Howard Hoffmaster introduced me to Koyaanisqatsi, the great time lapse feature film, I became fascinated with time lapse video. Since then I have shot thousands of hours of my own time lapse video, using just about every format you can think of. I try to travel and record interesting scenes, which I show to friends in my tiny home theater. It looks best on a big screen and in high def, so I have always preferred not to show it in low def and online. But after enough friends suggested I put some of it online, here is a first shot.

This all-day video, condensed to under two minutes, was taken May 2009 from the big Hilton in Moscow (my colleagues and I got a deal). You see three giant train stations that come together. About halfway up the frame, just right of center, you will see the comings and goings of trains in one of the three stations. The piece ends with a few sections of pedestrians coming and going into one of the stations. Clouds move overhead through most of the video. I hope you enjoy it.
