Hey so, Here we have V040 of Sonic X-treme's engine with Fisheye running on Sega Saturn Hardware for the first time in 19 years. ( besides the Saturn version there is also a simultaneous PC version release of the same 040 engine released with better graphics and more animation frames for actors like Sonic, enemies and Rings.

This is all thanks to JollyRoger and all his blood sweat and tears fixing up the code using official SEGA SATURN Development Hardware, so that it actually works on normal Sega Saturn hardware without crashing.
We'd like to call this an almost as is release since the code had to be massaged so that it could become functional again while retaining the unaltered base gameplay, collision, and rendering as it would have been seen at the time STI was working on it.

Some future plans for 040 Saturn build are to add in additional frames for Sonic, enemies and rings so that they include all frames instead of just 2 frames for each direction animation. Also to note: Sonic can move in 8 directions, but does not have the corresponding Sprite angles to match the movement direction. This will be implemented in the future. Also planned is to add much of the functionality from the 037 build of the engine like world rotations. And perhaps add in support to load V042.def files.

Man do I sound drunk or what ?!
Its not easy to Film, Talk, Play, and plan what to say all at the same time. Brain overload here !
