Producing this video was the Community Project of my training village during our pre-service training in the Batu area of East Java, Indonesia. All five of us went out with cameras into different areas of the village to film the things that we saw as daily activities. After collecting all the footage (a couple hours' worth), I edited into this 10-minute video. We screened the video at a couple locations in our village, probably showing a total audience of around 60 people. We wanted to give them a view of how we, as Americans, perceive the world around us -- what things stand out to us. We were hoping to spark a dialogue about cultural/perceptual differences, but the dialogue rather fizzled. Nonetheless, this is the film, for your enjoyment!
