In my personal opinion the Lordship Salvation Heresy is the most effective way of keeping Christ-searching people away from Him and the salvation that is only in Him. Some Lordship Salvationists teach very openly that you first have to DO sth. AND believe on Christ to be saved. Others, the even more subtle version of it is the version of Lordship Heresy that says that you have to have WORKS of righteousness to either stay saved or prove that you have been saved in the first place. Yet, the Bible plainly says that salvation does not depend on any works of righteousness on our part. And once you are saved, God promised you eternal life - not probational life. But the preacher will explain that much more effectively to you, just please listen to this whole sermon very very carefully. It is a difference between heaven and hell. And satan is so subtle...!!

(the irony: the people who call Jesus Christ emphatically Lord, do many "wonderful" works in His name, yet add their own righteousness ("good" works of the law), their obedience, their repenting of sins (Jonah 3:9-10: God says repenting is works) - to the finished work of Jesus Christ and therefore do not do the Will of the Father - to BELIEVE on the Son for salvation, are the very ones who are sent away to everalsting damnation). For they nullify the grace of God.
