*About Lorens Chuno*
Lorens Chuno leads a band that has, for several years, been a fan favorite in the Pittsburgh regional music scene. Audiences have praised Lorens Chuno's sets as energy-filled, inherently captivating, and potentially educative. This Nigerian born musician, who also has a background in Mathematics, has created a unique sound that can be broadly described as Jazz-fusion with noticeable West-African influence. His warm and dynamic vocal style, along with his bold compositions, helps define this unique sound.

A talented pianist, percussionist, vocalist, and dancer, Lorens Chuno has played several concerts and festivals, many a time, sharing stages with international acts like the Chicago Afrobeat Projects, and the Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars. Lorens Chuno has also recorded with some legendary musicians including Poogie Bell, the Pittsburgh based Grammy Award winning drummer. Lorens Chuno has garnered international recognition including appearances on the Nigerian Television Authority "Celebrity Corner" program and the African Independent Television's "Artistist's Notebook".

The University of Pittsburgh Library System (ULS) and Calliope: The Pittsburgh Folk Music Society have joined together to present the Emerging Legends Concert Series at The Cup & Chaucer Café in Hillman Library on the ground floor of the library.

All concerts are free and open to the public!
