Written by Lady Alyna of Pinehyll for Baron Dahrien Cordell upon the occasion of his vigil for the Order of the Pelican at Warriors and Warlords 18, July 9, 2011, AS 46, in the Kingdom of Northshield

CHORUS
Oh,
How do I know if I'm worthy?
How do I know if it's right?
Are my contributions noteworthy?
This I wonder with all of my might.
The peers of the realm, they have spoken.
Their majesties know of my plight,
Still I ask,
How do I know if I'm worthy?
Is accepting this honor my right?

1. Oh Vigilant,
Know this was no snap decision.
Words and deeds were considered by all.
Recommendations were given,
By those who did heed their heart's call.

But, CHORUS

2. Remember,
Service need not be a big thing,
E'en the smallest aid shines bright.
Small works are the bricks and the mortar,
Which hold our kingdom upright.

But, CHORUS

3. My dear friend,
Peer-like qualities are in you,
Seen plainly by all around.
Your questioning reflects well on you.
Your inspiration knows no bounds.

And,
That's how you know that you're worthy,
That's how you know that it's right.
Your contributions are many,
You illuminate all with your light.
The peers of the realm, they have spoken,
Their majesties know of your plight,
And they know
You are most certainly worthy,
You already do what is right.

4. (softly)
So don't change a thing about you,
Just do as you've done all along:
Inspire the people around you,
In word, in deed and in song.
