Falk talks about some of the ways Sonic: Before the Sequel/After the Sequel plays around with ideas larger than simple fire-and-forget music and composition/production techniques to tackle some of the issues that arise from interactive scoring.
Something I really wanted to mention in the video but I forgot: A lot of this I learnt in Michael Sweet's game scoring classes at Berklee College of Music. Massive shoutouts to you sir. And to Xiao'an for a beyond-epic track.
