VIDEO SCRIPT
This ccMixter tutorial will show you how to use ccMixter music on YouTube.

You can find the music you need for your YouTube video on ccMixter’s music discovery site: dig.ccmixter.org.

When you use the music you find on Dig in your YouTube video, you need to include attribution in the video itself, like credits in a movie, as well as in YouTube’s video description box.

You can easily copy and paste the correct attribution from the song page on Dig.

Please pay close attention to the Creative Commons license attached to the songs you choose.

CC BY tracks can be used for any type of video as long as you include attribution.

CC BY-NC tracks can be used for non-commercial videos as long as you include attribution.

If you monetize your video on YouTube with advertisements enabled, your video is considered commercial use.

You must buy a ccPlus license to use CC BY-NC tracks commercially. Not all CC BY-NC tracks are available for ccPlus license, but you can contact the ccMixter admins and we’ll do our best to help.

Whatever the license, you cannot submit Creative Commons licensed music to YouTube’s Content ID program. Whether you used a ccMixter sample or purchased a ccPlus license, do not submit music that contains any ccMixter material to Content ID.

Thank you for using ccMixter.org music. Now… go Dig the Soundtrack!
