May 2013. Elephant Hill is in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park south of Moab, Utah. Filmed by Greg on a Kawi KLX250 as Matt rides the black BMW G650 XCountry, both loaded with camping gear. And yes we did approach this thoughtfully and plan a line ahead of time. Matt was able to put rocks in to fill in the big gaps caused by Jeeps, then Matt cleaned it with no dabs (that's right he's bragging, been thinking about this obstacle all winter plus I haven't seen it for 30 years)... then Greg attempted it and had some issues and cracked his crankcase cover. We were able to fix the cracked cover with JB Weld (Kwik set version) and it held the remaining 400 miles of the 3 day off road trip. JB Weld Kwik - Don't leave home without it! p.s. I credit my Rekluse clutch for making that main step without killing the motor!
