Fire Forces Cats From Rescue Shelter- Lance Wheeler Video
A 3rd floor mattress fire Tuesday night in Hudson, New York has
resulted in an "emergency" for a Columbia County
cat rescue organization. The fire, at 721 Warren St,
caused extensive water damage to three floors of
Animalkind, a well known cat rescue group. Some 150
cats call this home. The free roaming cats had to be
rounded up by dozens of volunteers Wednesday morning.
Organizers say its an "emergency" . They need homes
for the cats and money to help find a temporary building for the felines. Katrine Hecker says Animalkind lost "everything"
