Some of the Progress of the New Nation of Islam

"We, Allah, myself, and my followers want to see you, black people governing yourselves. We want to see you educating your own children. We want to see you writing your own books to be used in your own educational institutions. We want to see you, black architectural, electrical, geological, industrial, etc... engineers planning and building your own cities. We want to see you, black scientist, in laboratories of your own, working to discover and create new things for the benefit of our people. We want to see us building and operating our own lumber mills to turn trees into usable lumber for ourselves. We want to see us building and operating our own paper mills. We want to see us going into the earth and mining out the iron and other useful minerals. We want to see us manufacturing our own farm equipment. We want to see us building our own textile mills to produce our own clothing needs. I could go on and on.
You may say I have a good dream; but I say dreams are for sleepers. I am not asleep; I am wide awake. A man who is wide awake does not have dreams. He has plans. I have plans to see my black people free at last." —the Son of Man
