HACIENDA HEIGHTS- Los Altos High School's dream season came to an end on Friday night after visiting La Serna staged a furious fourth quarter rally to win 42-38. La Serna outscored the Conquerors 21-8 in the fourth quarter and held Los Altos out of the endzone with the game on the line inside their own 5-yard line. La Serna sophomore quarterback Frankie Palmer finished the game with 297 total yards (90 rushing) and four touchdowns (three rushing). Palmer's 5-yard touchdown run put the Lancers up 42-38 with 1:06 to play in the fourth. Los Altos drove the length of the field, but senior quarterback Shane Virnala was stripped of the football and La Serna recovered as the time elapsed to seal the win. Virnala finished with 314 total yards (262 passing) and three touchdown passes. Coverage by SGV Tribune reporter Tyler Drohan. Follow @SGVtylerd
